About Squire Boone Caverns

While you’re with us, visit Squire Boone Caverns and Village. This ancestral home of Squire Boone, brother of Daniel Boone, is historically unique and filled with everything you would expect in an exceptional cave tour: rushing waterfalls, stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, rimstone dams, soda straws, cave coral and more jaw-dropping cave formations. One million gallons of water flow through every day! You’ll see it all along the lighted walkway on tours given by excellent, informative guides.

Not a fan of going underground? Stay above ground and roam around the historic Boone Village, filled with pioneer buildings, frontier skills, and activities for everyone. Open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, the village has soap making, candle dipping, a bakery, and gold mining (for Fool’s Gold!), and one of the largest Rock Shops in the Midwest. Topping it off is Squire Boone’s, Grist Mill. This restored working mill is on Indiana’s State Register of Historical Sites and Structures.

In addition, the picnic area, nature trail, and playground are open year-round. Visit the Squire Boone
